“…The voluminous early Palaeozoic siliciclastic sedimentary sheet of north‐eastern Africa and Arabia (i.e. Avigad, Kolodner, McWilliams, Persing, & Weissbrod, 2003; Avigad et al., 2015) is correlated, across north Gondwana to the Anatolian Block (Avigad, Abbo, & Gerdes, 2016; Ghienne, Monod, Kozlu, & Dean, 2010; Gürsu et al., 2017), and overall the detrital zircon U–Pb–Hf spectra in the Kyrenia range generally fits that of Palaeozoic rocks from north Gondwana (e.g. Avigad et al., 2003; Kolodner et al., 2006; Meinhold, Morton, & Avigad, 2013; Morag, Avigad, Gerdes, Belousova, & Harlavan, 2011).…”
