Laser ablation synthesis and optical characterization of zinc oxide nanostructures

Abstract: Zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by pulsed laser ablation technique in water with further deposition on the single-crystalline silicon substrate. The composition, morphology, absorbance and luminescent properties of the formed structures were studied. The study revealed that films of high structural and optical quality can be prepared by the developed method.
