Abstract:This paper presents the Layer by Layer self-assembly (LbL) approach for developing the UV resistance of aramid yarns. Initially, a pretreatment was achieved by polyethyleneimine to obtain cationic surface charges on aramid yarns. Then zinc oxide and titanium dioxide nanoparticles were self-assembled on these yarns by the LbL process.
