Le site protohistorique de la Raze de la Dame à Communay (Rhône)

Abstract

A rescue excavation carried out on a future stretch of motor road in Communay, south of Lyon, in 1988, has uncovered the remains of structures of a habitat (post holes, pits...) from the end of the Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age (Hallstatt D3) and especially from the second Iron Age (Tène C). Shown in detailed stratigraphie and sedimentary context, the analysis of these structures and the quantitative analysis of the associated objects found (mainly pottery) provide a precious contribution to the knowledge of the Protohistory of the Rhône region, in particular for the Late Iron Age which is poorly represented in this region. Résumé Une fouille d'urgence réalisée en 1988 à Communay, au sud de Lyon, à l'emplacement d'une section d'autoroute, a découvert des vestiges de structures d'habitat (trous de poteau, fosses...) de la fin de l'Age du bronze, du premier Age du fer (Hallstatt D3) et surtout du second Age du fer (Tène C). Présentées dans un contexte stratigraphique et sédimentaire détaillé, l'analyse des structures et celle quantifiée des mobiliers associés (essentiellement céramiques) apporte une précieuse contribution à la connaissance de la Protohistoire rhodanienne, en particulier pour le second Age du fer, mal représenté dans cette région.
