Abstract

The failures of management. The eighties have been marked by a great increase in the number of publications about management. This literature is studied here from three points of view : the pseudo-newness of the theories ; the rhetoric used in an attempt to assure their success ; the relations they have tended to create between the social scientists and the advocates of management.
