Less invasive modified Spitzy shelf procedure for patients with dysplasia of the hip

Abstract: The shelf procedure for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a simpler technique compared with periarticular acetabular osteotomies. However, the most commonly used approach involves the exposure of a large section of the outer iliac surface via a long skin incision and is relatively invasive.
