Abstract:Introduction: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a bacterium responsible for inflammation of the gastric mucosa. This bacterium causes chronic gastritis in more than 50% of the world’s population and, in about 10 to 15% of cases, can lead to gastric adenocarcinoma, gastroduodenal ulcers, and MALT lymphoma.
