In the current era, technological advancement has completely changed many facets of our daily lives, such as the workplace, where modern-day companies are compelled to take proactive actions. Employees face the same challenges by shifting their practices from conventional to more innovative ones. This study explores Generation Z and Millennials‘ receptivity to technological advancement and how it impacts their personal and professional lives. By exploring four personalitybased characteristics – optimism, innovation, discomfort, and insecurity – this study develops clear pathways from the perspective of Romanian younger employees. The proposed research hypotheses were tested with a sample of 399 employees, and quantitative data analysis was carried out using partial least squares structural equation modelling. Our findings are expected to provide employers, human resource managers, recruiters, and policymakers with new insights that enable them to develop methods, strategies, policies, and measures tailored to the mentality and behavioural patterns of these specific target groups.

This paper is devoted to building a miniature of an impulse buying behaviour in department stores, which is influenced by hedonic shopping value, store environment, and price discount factors, which involve the role of positive emotions as a mediator. A comparative causal-based quantitative approach examines empirical relationships. Characteristics of the questionnaire invite respondents to be surveyed at Matahari and Transmart Department Stores in Pontianak who are instructed to use purposive sampling. In the next procedure, interpreting the data is processed with SmartPLS, which emphasizes the structural model. The results of the investigation demonstrated that hedonic shopping value had a significant effect on positive emotions at Matahari and Transmart. However, the store environment actually has a significant effect on positive emotions at Transmart, but has no effect at Matahari. It was also detected that positive emotions have a significant effect on impulse buying at Matahari. Interestingly, it has no impact in the case study at Transmart. Later, hedonic shopping value appeared to have a significant effect on impulse buying at Transmart, while at Matahari it did not. Further exploration also found that the store environment had a significant effect on impulse buying at Matahari, while at Transmart it had no effect. This work also confirms that the discount has no effect on impulse buying at Matahari and Transmart. The motives for impulse buying, hedonic behaviour, and positive emotions need to be adjusted to the broader analysis design in the future. There are striking differences with previous studies, thus providing a gap that is very suitable for the context of impulse buying.

Purpose: The earning potential of software companies depends on their employees’ productivity. To improve productivity, the organizations have to provide their employees with a pleasant working environment. By offering pleasant Quality of Work Life (QWL) a company may retain efficient employees and keep them preoccupied with work, thereby improving productivity. Design / Methodology / Approach: Study being descriptive in nature. Data relevant to the study have been collected by employing well-structured questionnaire. By adopting convenience sampling technique software employees have been selected from Bengaluru city. Data have been gathered from select software professionals at Bengaluru city. Questions relating to personal profile and quality of work life are included in the questionnaire. Findings: Result of chi-square test discloses that gender, educational qualification, type of family and working hours significantly influences the perception of QWL of Software Professionals. Practical Implications: The result of the study assist employers to understand their employees’ perception towards quality of work life and understand the employees’ expectations thereby, management are in a positon to fulfil the expectations of the employees. Once employees’ expectations are fulfilled dedicated and committed employees may be retained at the workplace and efficient employees are attracted, thereby productivity and profitability of an institution may improve. Social Implications: Offering better working environment at work place may motivate employees to be loyal and committed and to put their level best for the development of an organization as a whole. Sincere and committed employees are an asset for the institution, their efforts not only contribute towards institution growth but also growth of a nation as a whole. Originality / Value: Data collected through questionnaire are original in nature. Questionnaire assist in understanding the employees’ perception towards quality of work life at their work place.
