Abstract:The human body radiates a long-wavelength IR of about 10 microns or 10 μm. Planck's law allows us to describe the amount of energy the body gives off as radiation of different frequencies in mathematical terms. The paper harnesses these IR properties for allowing surgeons to perform surgeries remotely. The paper proposes a system composed of a novel medical device [IR camera + Projector] with a pair of attached robotic arms that capture an image of a target organ of a patient and reproduce it at a remote locat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
