Abstract:An emissive organic–inorganic hybrid material is obtained by a cationic metathesis between a blue fluorescent tetraphenylethylene‐based salt: [TPEIm2]I2, and a red‐NIR phosphorescent octahedral molybdenum cluster compound: Cs2[Mo6I8(OCOC2F5)6]. As demonstrated by Single Crystal X‐Ray Diffraction, the hybrid [TPEIm2][Mo6I8(OCOC2F5)6] crystallizes as a 2:2 dimer and emits in the red‐NIR area.
