Abstract:This paper proposes a new alternating stage permanent magnet synchronous generator (ASPMSG) that is suitable for helicopter motor applications. The machine topology and the working principle of the ASPMSG are first introduced. The slot-pole matching of the motor is studied according to the application environment and requirements of the motor.
