Linear and nonlinear optical properties of novel Schiff‐base modified calix[4]arene: Synthesis and characterization

Abstract: Linear and nonlinear optical properties of upper rim Schiff‐base calix[4]arenes are described in this article. Calix[4]arene Schiff‐base derivatives were obtained by reacting tetrakis‐para‐formylcalix[4]arene with appropriate aryl amines (aniline and para‐amino phenol as electrons donor) to extend and to delocalize π electrons system.
