Linking HRM With Sustainability

Abstract

Green HRM is based on the Green Movement. This movement prioritizes environmental and planet preservation. The first UN Human Environment Conference was held in Stockholm in June 1972. Global summits concluded that environmental preservation and enhancement is humanity's top priority. The management industry is embracing “Green HRM.” Companies' HR policies include environmental sustainability measures to promote a sustainable environment and ensure a prosperous future for the organization, industry, and economy. This is verdant HRM. Modernity, energy, growth, tranquility, happiness, and compassion are associated with green. This study examines green HRM literature and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda to create a conceptual model that explains how green HRM helps achieve the SDGs. This research investigates how companies may encourage sustainable growth, as outlined in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Through Green HRM, this study encourages HR departments to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly methods.
