“…75 Transporters can reduce the side effect of some drugs when loaded. 47,76,77 There is also some evidence of possible dosage reduction when drugs are transported by liposomes. 78 These vesicles possess an important role in the delivery of substances into the skin, especially for lipophilic compounds.…”

“…To use the GelMA‐based PEDOT/PSS hydrogels as a drug carrier for treatment of skin cancer, the fabricated hydrogels were loaded with 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), because 5‐FU has been used for treatment of various skin diseases for about half a century and also there are some studies about transdermal delivery of 5‐FU in the literature as well . Although 5‐FU indications approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration are actinic keratosis and superficial basal cell carcinoma, studies have shown that 5‐FU is also effective on the treatment of dermatological diseases such as squamous cell carcinoma in situ , warts, nail psoriasis, keratoacanthoma, and vitiligo . The interaction between drug and polymeric matrix is thought to originate from hydrogen bonds that can occur between the NH 2 and OH functional groups on gelatin and the NH, CO, CN, and CF side groups on 5‐FU …”

“…Thus, it is critical to develop new medications for the treatment of OP with better curative outcomes, limited side effects, and increased safety . Recently, nucleic acid therapy—the use of siRNA and microRNA—has emerged as a novel strategy for disease treatment, such as cancer . Based on the available data, miR‐141 has recently been regarded as a tumor inhibitor in many cancer types, including glioma, thyroid cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, and breast cancer .…”
