Abstract:Gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to ischemic colitis (IC) is relatively infrequent. Drug-related etiologies of nonocclusive IC are very rare. Sympathomimetics have been reported to cause IC, with most cases being associated with the illicit use of amphetamines and methamphetamines.
