Abstract:IntroductionGlucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is the most common enzyme deficiency worldwide. In this condition acute hemolysis is caused by exposure to an oxidative stressor in the form of an oxidative drug, an infection or aliments.
