Abstract:Efficient oxygen reduction reactions (ORRs) rely on the appropriate chemical adsorption of triplet oxygen (O 2 ) on the surface of the catalyst and rapid conversion to doublet intermediate species, accelerating the ORR process. However, overcoming the energy barrier of this spin-forbidden transition via spin coupling with a catalyst remains a major challenge. Herein, iron phthalocyanine (FePc) was attached to the intrinsic atomic step sites on semiconductor TiO 2 nanotubes (FePc@TiO 2 ). The inherent magnetic … Show more
This review outlines recent advances in field-regulated catalysis and reveals the key role of dipole manipulation by electric/magnetic/electromagnetic fields.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
