“…The lesions of HU consisted of typical erythematous and oedematous weals, varying in size from a few millimetres to a few centimetres, strictly confined to the area of heat contact, with the exception of giant hives in IG‐HU . Itch was present in almost all cases in all subtypes of HU with mild to moderate intensity; it was severe in approximately 18% of patients with IL‐HU and 27% of patients with IG‐HU .
