Long adhesive joints in façade applications exposed to wind suction

Abstract: This paper provides an insight into the investigation of long thick-layer adhesive façade joint resistance to negative pressure loads, i.e. wind suction. The real structural response to wind actions was simulated with reference to ETAG 034. Each specimen represented a reference façade section. The experiment focused on four different adhesive systems with flexible high strength 1-K polyurethanes and 1-K modified silyl polymers. Several variants of the test assemblies were tested: 1) a test assembly with an adh… Show more

“…There are existing studies on the layout of the construction site in connection with the main construction machines [3,4,[40][41][42][43], but very little account is taken of machine noise in the optimization [2,5,44]. It is possible to continue the research of noise from construction and for the transmission inside the building and the subsequent propagation of noise and vibration in the indoor environment of buildings [23,24,[45][46][47][48].…”

“…However, it is also possible to measure values, for example inside buildings and to evaluate the attenuation by the perimeter cladding and other structures. Field measurements are not covered in this paper, but many studies are available [12,[21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29]. Figure 2 presents a graphically processed methodology of the possibility of access of the contractor to solve the noise from construction.…”
