“…CCDC26 is a long non-coding RNA gene, which modulates retinoic acid, which in turn increases apoptosis (controlled cell death). Absence of apoptosis may result in cancer, while excessive apoptosis may result in a cell death of vital cells causing neurodegenerative diseases ( Hirano et al, 2021 ).
