Abstract:We show that long-distance quantum communications can be enabled through resources provided by current quantum photonic technology: multiphoton bipartite entanglement and photon-numberresolved detection. Our protocol is robust to high transmission losses and facilitates distribution of near-maximally entangled states in realistic implementations. It can be realized in a delayedchoice scheme and it allows one to perform loophole-free Bell tests. The schema discussed can be employed as a versatile source of enta… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
