Abstract:Long-term endoscopic confirmation of frontal ostium patency demonstrates that endoscopic frontal sinusotomy can yield high quality, durable results. There was no significant difference in patency results between ECRS and non-ECRS patients. Laryngoscope, 2009.
“…Patients with AFRS usually require surgery to remove the inspissated mucus in order to reestablish sinus ventilation and drainage. A number of studies in the literature have established the effectiveness of surgical therapy in the short term [39,40] and the long term [41][42][43] for subjective improvement of symptoms as well as ostial patency in patients with medically refractory CRS. Endoscopic sinus surgery involves minimally invasive techniques in which sinus air cells are opened under direct visualization.…”
Rhinosinusitis is a common medical problem that interferes with patient quality of life and loss of work productivity. Because of the heterogeneity that underlies its pathology, no one treatment regimen exists for the management of rhinosinusitis.

“…Long term frontal sinus outflow tract patency after balloon dilation of the frontal recess has been shown to be in the same range of the standard non-balloon surgical debridement of the frontal recess [22].…”
“…frontal ESC sonrası ortalama 45.9 ay takip edilen hastalarda frontal ostium açıklık oranlarını %88 olarak bildirmişlerdir. 9 Weber ve ark. çeşitli tanılarla frontal sinüse ESC uygulanan 1286 hastanın sonuçlarını bildirdikleri retrospektif çalışmala-rında %79-97,8 başarı oranları bildirmişlerdir.…”
