Lopsided gauge mediation

Abstract: It has been recently pointed out that the unavoidable tuning among supersymmetric parameters required to raise the Higgs boson mass beyond its experimental limit opens up new avenues for dealing with the so called µ-B µ problem of gauge mediation. In fact, it allows for accommodating, with no further parameter tuning, large values of B µ and of the other Higgs-sector soft masses, as predicted in models where both µ and B µ are generated at one-loop order. This class of models, called Lopsided Gauge Mediation, … Show more

“…Actually, the Higgs-messenger couplings have been studied in the early days of the GMSB [14] and more recently are studied for various purposes, e.g., dynamically solving the µ/Bµ−problem [15,16], making the next-to-minimal supersymmetric model (NMSSM) with GMSB viable [17], breaking a dark U(1) X gauge symmetry [19] or generating the seesaw scale in neutrino physics [18]. In this work we will first investigate some general features of the YGMSB and then focus on the models with Higgs-messenger coupling, where the MFV is automatically maintained.…”

“…In order to explain the generation of the µ/B µ terms in gauge mediation we should admit direct couplings with hidden sector operators, as in the superpotential [45,46], which lead at one-loop to the masses …”
