Losses in twisted composite superconductors in a high pulsed magnetic field

Abstract: An experimental and theoretical study was made of losses in twisted composite superconductors in a strong pulsed magnetic field.The field amplitude reached 4.5T, and the magnetic field variation rate 2,000 T/sec. It is shown that the dependence of the specific heat release on the maximum rate of variation of the magnetic field is essentially nonmonotonic in nature.
