Low-speed Data Transmission using a Modulated Vibration Signal on an Optical Cable’s Outer Sheath

Abstract: A novel data transmission method, where a vibration signal is applied to the outside of an optical fiber cable, is proposed. In this method, a vibration signal is received using an optical fiber vibration sensor.
