Abstract:In an effort to develop the next frontier filtration material for chemical warfare agent (CWA) decomposition, we synthesized mesoporous NiO and Cu x Ni 1−x O (x = 0.10 and 0.20) and studied the decomposition of CWA simulant diisopropyl fluorophosphate (DIFP) on their surfaces. Mesoporous NiO and Cu x Ni 1−x O were fully characterized and found to be a solid solution with no phase separation up to 20% copper dopant.
