Abstract:Carbonaceous mesophase (CM) is an important precursor
of carbon
materials. Its structure, preparation conditions, and post-treatment
conditions determine the structure and properties of carbon mesophase
materials. However, conventional methods for the preparation of CMs
are complex and require high temperatures above 400 °C. In this
paper, a low-temperature solvothermal (LTS) method for obtaining CMs
with high-temperature coal tar as the raw material and ethanol as
the solvent is presented. With the LTS method… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
