Abstract:Superconducting feeder cables shrink because of thermal stress during the cooling process. When a long superconducting feeder cable is laid along a railway line, measures must be taken to prevent cable shrinkage. This paper therefore introduces a method which was used to lay a 300-m class superconducting feeder cable along a test track.
