<title>Optical processor for SAR image formation: performance trades</title>

Abstract: We present characteristics, consider some performance trades, and give experimental results for an optoelectronic processor for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image formation. A 2-D Fourier transforming time-integrating interferometricaliy based optical processor is a key element of the system.
