<title>Simple theory for a temperature sensor</title>

Abstract: In a previous paper1 one described a sensor that worked by replacing a small region of the clad by a material possessing an index of refraction highly sensitive to temperature. The variation of the index of refraction of this material leads to tosses that modulate the transmitted optical power bringing information about the temperature. In this paper one presents a theory for the explanation of the behaviour of the above mentioned sensor.
