Abstract: To delve into the mechanisms of lubricating additives in electrically charged environments, this study utilizes a non-covalent modification method combining N-butylpyridinium tetrafluoroborate ([BPy]BF4) with multilayer graphene (MG) to create graphene/ionic liquid (G/IL) composites.
