Luminous flux measurement

Abstract: A precision goniophotometer developed at the Istituto Elettrotecnico Nazionale, Turin, has been used to measure the luminous flux of standard lamps, with a view to realising a total luminous flux scale by relating the lumen to the candela through its fundamental definition. The instrument is described and measurement errors assessed.
