Abstract:Magnetic properties of europium-containing compounds Eu 3 MO 7 (M = Nb, Ta, Ir) with fluorite-related structure have been investigated. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show that all these compounds are paramagnetic and have no magnetic ordering down to 1.8 K. At very low temperatures (T < 50 K), the susceptibilities of each compound attain constant values, which is characteristic of the ground state for Eu 3+ ions. The results of 151 Eu Mössbauer spectroscopic measurements show that the asymmetric paramet… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
