Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan metode pembinaan cabang bulutangkis antara Yogyakarta, Indonesia dengan Ottapalam, India. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi lapangan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pemain di CSN Badminton Academy India yang berjumlah adalah 32 atlet dan atlet di PB Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 28 atlet. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan yaitu human instrument atau yang dikenal sebagai peneliti kualititatif. Peneliti merupakan instrumen itu sendiri, dengan kata lain peneliti juga perlu “divalidasi” seberapa jauh peneliti kualitatif siap melakukan penelitian yang selanjutnya turun ke lapangan (Sugiyono, 2011: 222). Adapun jenis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu data sekunder dan data primer dari kedua klub. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta dan CSN Badminton Academy India memiliki jenis latihan shadow yang sedikit berbeda. CSN Badminton Academy India menggunakan teknik lompatan saat kembali ke posisi awal. Sedangkan PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta tidak menggunakan teknik lompatan. (2) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta memiliki atlet yang patuh terhadap peraturan karena persaingan yang ketat. Sedangkan CSN Badminton Academy India memiliki atlet yang kurang patuh terhadap jam berlatih yang disebabkan jauhnya tempat latihan. (3) CSN Badminton Academy India memiliki susunan kepengurusan yang baik serta memiliki bukti fisik. Sedangkan PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta kurang melengkapi bukti fisik kepengurusan. AbstractThis study aims to compare the method of developing badminton branches between Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Ottapalam, India. This research uses descriptive method, the design used in this study is field observation. The population in this study were 32 players at CSN Badminton Academy in India and 28 athletes in PB Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta. Sampling in this study using human instruments or known as qualitative researchers. The researcher is the instrument itself, in other words, the researcher also needs to be "validated" to what extent the qualitative researcher is ready to conduct research which then goes to the field (Sugiyono, 2011: 222). The types of data used in this study are secondary data and primary data from the two clubs. The results showed that (1) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta and CSN Badminton Academy India have a slightly different type of shadow training. CSN Badminton Academy India uses the jump technique when returning to starting position. Whereas PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta does not use jumping techniques. (2) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta has athletes who abide by regulations because of intense competition. Whereas CSN Badminton Academy India has athletes who are not obedient to the practice hours due to the training grounds. (3) CSN Badminton Academy India has a good management structure and physical evidence. Whereas PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta did not complete the management's physical evidence.

Supporting factors in fostering athletes are professional coaches, sufficient facilities and infrastructures, systems and methods, proper training program, professional administrators and supporting environment (National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI), 2000; Proios and Athanailidis, 2013). The success or failure of a program will be known after conducting evaluation on the implemented program, so that it will be decided whether the program needs to be continued, revised or stopped.…”

The research aims to analyse management evaluation of the Sepak Takraw Association of Indonesia (PSTI) in fostering sepak takraw sport achievement in Brebes Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This research was conducted using qualitative approach with ethnography design and critical ethnography type research to evaluate and criticize. Sources of data were collected from research informants by using Purposive Sampling and Snowball technique. Data collection technique was conducted by using observation, int erview, and documentation study, data analysis was conducted inductively by using interactive cycle by M iles and Huberman. The results of study are: 1) The fostering of sepak takraw carried out by The Regency Administrators (Pengkab) PSTI Brebes Regency was in accordance with the vision, mission, goals and government's policies, 2) Human resources in PSTI Brebes Regency were good and qualified, and supported by sufficient facilities, infrastructures and fund, 3) The implementation of programs was well-implemented, stages of program implementation were carried out by the coaches, and coordination with various parties was well-coordinated. 4) The results of achievements obtained by the athletes, coaches and administrators was very well but the welfare was relatively adequate.

BackgroundPrioritising equine welfare, making evidenced‐based policy, and consistent decision‐making across sports are crucial to maintaining the social licence for equestrian sport. Regulations on the use of omeprazole during competition differ; all regulators argue that their rules prioritise welfare. This discrepancy is a matter of concern to the public and equestrian stakeholders.ObjectivesTo apply Campbell's Ethical Framework for the use of Horses in Sport to the question: ‘Should the use of omeprazole be allowed during equestrian competition?’Study designA desk‐based ethico‐legal study.MethodsCampbell's Ethical Framework for the Use of Horses in Sport was applied in a stepwise fashion: definition of the ethical question; analysis of the evidence base; consideration of stakeholders' interests; harm:benefit analysis; application of the three central tenets of the framework, and formulation of conclusions and recommendations.ResultsStakeholders in equine sports have a variety of (frequently conflicting) interests; all of them share an interest in optimising equine welfare. The incidence of EGUS in competition horses is high. Omeprazole is a cornerstone treatment. There are currently discrepancies in regulation about the use of omeprazole during competitions. Recent evidence suggests that withholding omeprazole treatment for two clear days before competition allows the recurrence of squamous EGUS, whereas withholding treatment on the day of competition only does not have that effect.Main limitationsThe current state of scientific knowledge about the use of omeprazole in horses. The analysis did not consider possible health and thus welfare effects of the out‐of‐competition treatment with omeprazole.ConclusionsBased on recent scientific evidence, if horses are being treated with omeprazole outside of competition then treatment on the day of competition should be permitted on welfare grounds. Revision of regulations around the use of omeprazole during competition by governing bodies is necessary to safeguard the ethical use of horses in sport.
