The transformational potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and smart applications in fostering sustainable purchasing behavior is examined in this article. It explores how AI technologies support well-informed decision-making, maximize resource management, and promote positive environmental impact across a range of industries through an extensive theoretical framework. Empirical instances ranging from energy management schemes to environmentally conscious retail platforms showcase the multifarious uses of artificial intelligence in promoting sustainability. However, in addition to the enormous promise, there are also inherent difficulties that must be overcome, like algorithmic biases, data privacy issues, and the digital divide. These issues must be resolved to guarantee fair access to AI technology and their moral application. In order to fully realize the revolutionary potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for sustainable consumption, the article ends with recommendations for Turkey that emphasize the significance of funding digital infrastructure, data privacy laws, digital literacy initiatives, and innovation ecosystems.
