Eng and Hernandez (2006) found that digitizing a community college’s VHS collection was compatible to the traditional tasks of its technical services department. Because most of the cataloging tasks were being outsourced to a centralized service area, the technical services staff had time to digitize the collection and make it available to students who could not come to the library during regular business hours.…”
