Managing the relationship with the patient and his family in the process of coordinated and personalized treatment

Abstract

The article presents the challenges that primary health care will face in the coming years, especially from the perspective of coordinated and personalized medicine. In personalized treatment, where cooperation between the doctor and the patient is long-term and regular, apart from medical issues, the key issue seems to be the relationship not only with the patient, but also the involvement of the immediate social environment in the support process. Cooperation with the family makes it easier for the patient to understand the individual steps of the therapy, strengthens the maintenance of motivation for treatment, or compliance with established actions, therefore, when planning the medical therapy process, the doctor should take into account the needs of not only the patient, but also his family.
