MapScholar: A Web Tool for Publishing Interactive Cartographic Collections

Abstract: We have created a fully functional, open source HTML5 visualization tool built around the interpretive tasks of assembling collections of historic maps for analysis, arranging them in rich geospatial contexts, and presenting them to viewers in dynamic and interactive websites that we we call digital atlases.
