“…Over the years, these general principles have been applied to many sport contexts, such as skiing (Cignetti, Schena, Zanone, & Rouard, 2009), swimming (Seifert, Leblanc, Chollet, & Delignières, 2010), martial arts (Hristovski, Davids, Araújo, & Button, 2006), sailing (Araújo et al, 2015), dance (Torrents, Ric & Hristovski, 2015), or team sports (Passos, Araújo, Davids, & Shuttleworth, 2008; Ric et al, 2016; Sampaio & Maçãs, 2012; Travassos, Araújo, Correia, & Esteves, 2010). Particularly interesting and promising are investigations that use DST as a coupling framework between the phenomenological/experiential and behavioural level processes (Bourbousson, R'Kiouak, & Eccles, 2015; Jourand, Adé, Sève, & Thouvarecq, 2014; Millar, Oldham, & Renshaw, 2013; Saury et al, 2014). These investigations show how pluri‐contextuality of DST principles and concepts opens up theoretical pluralism to its full potential.…”
