Abstract:Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is an important enzyme involved in folate metabolism, DNA synthesis and methylation. A number of studies have examined the association of maternal MTHFR A1298C polymorphism with congenital heart disease (CHD) susceptibility; however, the conclusions were contradictory.
