Mathematical Modeling the Hydrological Properties of Soil for Practical Use in the Land Ecological Management

Abstract: Abstract. An original and convenient (from a practical point of view) method to estimate the supply of productive moisture in the soil is offered. The method is based on a physically adequate mathematical model of the soil hydrological properties considering the hysteresis of the waterretention capacity. The computation of the irrigation rates, which is based on such estimates, minimizes the water wastage if the excess of the gravitational water is formed and this water percolates out of the moisturized soil p… Show more

“…The second phase is associated with water erosion caused by liquid precipitation. As a result of the redistribution of surface runoff onto a plateau, elementary drainage basins and an erosion-brook network were formed [9]. It received soil material brought with surface runoff from the catchment area.…”

“…Heads of pipes are located in the «checkerboard» order: heads of short pipes are spaced from the shoreline at 1 m; medium pipes -quarter length of the Gulf; long pipes (going after medium, before the short) -half length of the Gulf. This arrangement of heads allows covering the entire area by the release of water [22][23][24].…”

“…SCS is the totality of all the uniform heterogeneity of the soil cover. SCS is characterized by the spatial ranges of certain soils that often repeat in space, creating a stable composition and pattern of the soil cover, and stable mechanisms of geochemical and geophysical relationships between soils included in this structure [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Significant changes in SCS occur as a result of quarrying.…”
