Abstract:This study investigated mathematical modeling and optimization of the xylene isomerization reaction in a commercial adiabatic reactor. The proposed model, consisting of a set of algebraic and ordinary differential equations, is based on a heterogeneous one‐dimensional steady‐state formulation.
