Mathematical simulation of low-temperature conversion cogeneration system in power engineering

Abstract: About 60 % of Russian territory doesn't have centralized energy supply. Energy supply of these areas is carried by gas or diesel fuel oil cogeneration power units. Natural gas is a chemically valuable and expensive product not exceeding 25% of the fuel and energy balance in the power generating of the most developed countries. Natural gas is approximately 53% of the fuel and energy balance in Russian energy. Diesel fuel oil is expensive due to high transport costs for delivery to the place of consumption. As a… Show more

“…Steam consumption was changed by a valve (6) mounted on the steam-conductive pipe. The temperature of produced steam and steam-gas mixture after the reactor was measured by thermocouples (7). The formed steam-gas mixture after reaction steam with carbon of material which placed in the reactor was entered into the condenser (8) through steam-conductive pipe, and then pyrolysis condensate and conversion gases were turned in container through the pipe (9).…”

“…Mentioned disadvantages can be eliminated by a heat processing of raw materials into energy products of acceptable quality, such as solid composite [8][9][10][11][12], liquid [13][14][15] or gaseous fuels [16][17][18]. Given the advantages of the gaseous fuels energy use (possibility of combustion process automating, ecological compatibility, low abrasive deterioration of heating surfaces and intensive heat transfer due to higher flow velocities available), the authors examined processing of low-grade raw material to a gaseous fuel.…”

“…The process of researched low-temperature pyrolysis is considered by three main reactions [10][11][12]: 1) С+О 2 =СО 2 ; 2) С+2Н 2 =СН 4 ; 3) С+Н 2 О=СО+Н 2 . The reactions 1 and 2 are standard with known equilibrium constants.…”
