Abstract:Accurate and densely covered specific yields (S y) are essential for estimating the storage capacity of a groundwater reservoir. A cross-well pumping test can determine S y , but its high cost often makes it unsuitable for sampling high-resolution S y. The gravity-based method (GBM) based on gravity changes near existing groundwater wells may outperform cross-well pumping tests in estimating S y. We established 10 gravity sites close to groundwater wells in the aquifer-rich Choushui River Alluvial Fan and Ming… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
