Mechanical properties of shaft surfacing with micro-jet cooling

Abstract: An article presents information about innovate welding technology (surfacing) with micro-jet cooling. There are given main information about parameters of shaft surfacing with micro-jet cooling process. There were also put down information about influence of various micro-jet gases on metallographic structure of machine shaft after surfacing. There were tested tribological properties of welds. The tribological interactions of a solid shaft surfaces were tested after welding with micro-jet cooling.

“…using a standard arch. Above method can be used for high-quality joints in steel constructions including joining thick-walled elements [14,15]. This method guarantees obtaining the right joints in terms of technology and metallurgy for both carbon steel, low-alloy and high-alloyed and special steels [16][17].…”

“…Starting from metallurgical [5][6][7], repair (i.e. welding) [8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16] and finishing on wear properties [17][18][19]. As the titanium content increases, so does the hardness of alloys, and on the test contents of 2 and 6 wt.…”

“…Safety and durability of vehicles largely depend on the fatigue strength of the framework that welded the joints within [8][9][10][11]. There are still tested new techniques and materials used for car body frames [4][5][6][7][8][9][10]. In the last 5 years, important publications were presented about welding with micro-jet cooling [3][4]12] that could also be used in car body repairs.…”
