Mechanically Reinforcing Polyacrylate/Polyacrylamide Hydrogels through the Addition of Colloidal Particles

Abstract: Polyacrylamide is a popular material for many bio-related applications ranging from electrophoretic separation to cellular supports. A limitation of polyacrylamide-based hydrogels, however, is their mechanical compliance.
