Media as a model of action and communication in the political system of the Republic of Serbia

Abstract

The political system is a complex set of interactions that involves the actions of several factors with the aim of achieving a balance between the people, politics (ideology) and legal institutions. As such a symbiosis of factors from all spheres of society, the political system can be viewed as a "living phenomenon" because it follows changes and processes in society, both nationally and internationally. The entire process of changes, influence, interactions, achievement of political goals, enforcement of legal norms and other processes is supported in modern society by media attention, which is increasingly an instrument of politics. The political system of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the political systems of all other countries that have gone through or are still going through the process of transition, is subject to media manipulation, communication with the broad masses of people through the mass media as a means of exercising the right to information. It is precisely in this element of media-political life that we find the basis for this kind of research. The media is the characteristic or identity feature of all contemporary societies of the world, from there we have the initial hypothesis that the media is a model of action and communication in all political systems, including in the political system of the Republic of Serbia.
