Medullary nephrocalcinois and primary hyperaldosteronism - A rare and under recognised association

Abstract: Medullary nephrocalcinosis is an uncommon manifestation of primary hyperaldosteronism (PHA) and the exact etiology of this association is still debated. Here we report three cases of PHA with medullary nephrocalcinosis and how medullary nephrocalcinosis in one patient led to misdiagnosis as renal tubular acidosis (RTA).
