Melatonin MT2 receptor is expressed and potentiates contraction in human airway smooth muscle

Abstract: Nocturnal asthma is characterized by heightened bronchial reactivity at night, and plasma melatonin concentrations are higher in patients with nocturnal asthma symptoms.
