Melioidosis: Indian perspective

Abstract: There has been an upsurge of melioidosis cases in India in recent past. Lack of awareness of this disease among the Indian clinicians and microbiologists is responsible for the wrong diagnosis as tuberculosis, scrub typhus, leptospirosis and brucellosis.
